Thanks Cook Off Pasta 2013

 

Saga HS would like to Thank everyone involved in making Cook Off- Pasta a winning night.  Sandbar was the host of the event April 24, providing live music was Tull Rea in a beautiful setting for tasting all the fabulous entries for the contest. Thank you Sandbar for hosting us and our supporters for a fun evening raising money for Operation SNIP. Funds raised this event will be able to cover 15 FREE spay/neuters for island pets.

 

Sanbar’s own Chef Chap Ross challenged all entries to see who’s Pasta would reign supreme.  Chef Chap was the winner with Baked Vermicelli with Roasted Tomatoes & Vodka Cream Sauce. Cori Sterrenberg placed 2nd with Penne Puttanesca.  While 3rd was  Black Orchid Restaurant Chef Hortense Gomez for their Mushroom Fettuccine.  Thank you to everyone who entered a dish, they were all truly delicious.

 

Local business generously supported the night with donations for our famous raffle.  Thank you Wayo’s Bar $100.00 Gift certificate, Premium Wine and Spirits for a bottle red wine, Tech Transylvania- 3 free movies or $30.00, Belize Express for (2) round trip tickets to Belize City, Lone Star Grill for $50.00 gift certificate. Thanks to our dish sponsors – Terry Fowler, Stacey Chesnick and Feliz Bar & Grill. Please support all of these businesses that support their community.

Thank you to our loyal volunteers who helped us. Raffle ticket volunteers – Faith Noel, Alice Corrigan and Misty,. Thanks to our helpers  Rosa la Rosa, Elena Choc, Renee Steinmetz, Geovanni Martinez and Iliana Paj .  Danny Cann and Carolina who cooked our sponsored dishes.
